It started on the road — moving from village to village, walking through coffee farms, and learning from farmers directly. Our first major task was collaborating with the international IDH survey, conducted with Sattva Consultancy, Bangalore. Hey friends! Let's go on a magical journey to the land of Arabia, where the aroma of coffee fills the air.


The Adventure Begins

Imagine you're a young traveler, walking through the bustling markets of Ethiopia. You overhear merchants talking about a magical drink that's spreading like wildfire. They're talking about coffee!



A Journey Across the Desert


These merchants pack their bags, load their camels, and set off across the desert sands. They travel for days, facing challenges and adventures along the way.





               

Arrival in Arabia

Finally, they arrive in the vibrant city of Mocha, in present-day Yemen. The Arabs are fascinated by this new drink and start cultivating coffee in their own lands.


The Magic of Qahwa (قهوة)

In Arabia, coffee becomes an integral part of the culture. People gather in qahwa (coffeehouses) to share stories, poetry, and laughter. Coffee becomes a symbol of hospitality and friendship.

As coffee becomes popular in Arabia, it starts to spread to other parts of the world. Where will it go next? Will it reach Europe, Asia, or beyond? Let's find out in the next chapter!
